Job Description

Position Summary:        Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Staffing, Development & Support Services, assists with divisional projects and initiatives.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with the Corporation’s summer student hiring program.
  2. Prepares and monitors the return of probationary and trial performance evaluations for summer students.
  3. Assists with all steps related to the recruitment process (i.e. job postings, job closings, etc.)
  4. Provides back-up for the Receptionist.
  5. Provides customer service to internal and external clients.
  6. Performs such other duties related to compensation and benefits, payroll administration, staffing, development/training, recruitment, health services and labour relations functions.

     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a secondary school graduate and enrolled in a human resource management program at a college or university
  • Proficient in the use of computers and current related software
  • Excellent oral, presentation and written skills
  • Self starter with proven time management & organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure & meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively & concisely, both orally & in writing
  • Superior customer service skills & ability to deal with the public & staff in a courteous & tactful manner

 

Conditions of Employment:
