Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Deputy Fire Chief; is responsible to provide general office duties.

 

Major responsibilities:

  1. Schedules and organizes materials for public education appearances.
  2. Answers public inquires/phone and recording messages and complaints.
  3. Enters data in FDM.
  4. Completes website assignments.
  5. Performs general office duties.
  6. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience:

  • Must be a secondary school graduate or equivalent combination of training and experience. 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively & concisely, both orally & in writing.
  • Ability to deal with the public and staff in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and current related software (Word, Excel, FDM, and Adobe).

 

Assets:

  • Website construction and administration skills would be an asset.
