Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Roads, performs general labourer duties as assigned.

 

Major Tasks:

  1. Performs general labourer duties assigned in area of work.
  2. Performs general labour duties on asphalt crew and concrete crew.
  3. Assists with painting lines on roads.

Qualifications:

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.
  • Must be highly motivated and work well in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess superior customer service skills

Physical Demands:

  • This position requires constant standing/walking; frequent squatting/kneeling, and lifting.
  • Must be able to drive a ½ ton truck as required.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must have a valid Ontario driver’s licence, Class G, or its equivalent
