Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor – Financial Services performs accounting functions, customer service delivery, records management activities, and administrative functions, including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  1. Prepares and maintains records related to infrastructure.
  2. Prepares purchase requisitions, goods receipts, purchase orders and processes vendor payments.
  3. Performs customer service activities and takes appropriate action for resolution including dispatch.
  4. Records requests and resolutions according to Departmental policies and procedures.
  5. Performs work order management activities resulting in preventive maintenance & repair schedules.
  6. Processes invoices for internal and external services.
  7. Monitors and analyzes postings in capital and operating budgets for accuracy and takes corrective action.
  8. Audits transactions for credit card expenses.
  9. Performs records management activities & manual & computerized filing.
  10. Gathers, reviews & analyzes data for preparation of statistical & information reports.
  11. Performs administrative functions and stenographic duties including typing, reception, mail, and office supply maintenance.
  12. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Secondary school graduation, together with post-secondary courses in accounting; or a recognized bookkeeping course together with one year of office experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at a basic level in keyboard, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Must have good customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be courteous and tactful in dealing with the public.
