Child Care Centre Worker (Casual)

The Opportunity

As a Child Care Centre Worker with the Corporation, you will work at municipal child care centre that promotes a balance of stimulation and relaxation, which provides the basis for children's learning, development, health, and well-being.  Children are valued as individuals that are competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential. Each centre focuses on children first, and aims to foster learning around belonging, engagement, expression, and well-being.

 

The Child Care Centre Worker, distributes meals and snacks, performs clean-up and laundry duties, and assists with the care of the children.

  • The role reports to the Program Supervisor, Child Care Centre and has the following accountabilities:
  • Distributes meals and snacks.
  • Performs clean-up duties and maintains housekeeping supplies.
  • Responsible for Child Care Centre laundry.
  • Assists with the care of children.
  • Ensures health and safety procedures are followed.

Ideal Candidate

  • Grade 12 education; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
